Rent is no longer a problem when living in a tiny house. Living near the city is often as simple as parking in someone's backyard for a fraction of the price of rent. Move to the country side without all the hassel of finding a new home, or pack up and camp out in the wilderness - the possibilities are endless!

Due to their size tiny houses cost far less to build than even the smallest of homes and are often built by the owners themselves (with a little hired help of course).

Many use recycled materials such as old peices of furniture to create a unique look while being cost effective. Tiny houses are built with the goal of being cost effective, meaning they are often made to be incredibly efficient through the use of solar power, natural heating, rainwater tanks and even composting toilets so that owners can be completely independant.

Building your own home allows total control over every single detail. Whether this means raising the ceilings, having extra storage, adding a child's room or office, having a nice big kitchen or even adding a hammock on the roof, your house is only limited by your creativity and imagination.

From young students to pensioners, people of all ages have succesfully built their own tiny homes. A tiny house can be made from the size of a van to the size of a 40ft mansion.
